Ward Electric Company was tasked by NextEra Energy with the installation of 4.5 miles of 115kV carried by single pole transmission lines for Cottonwood Wind, LLC.
Starting on June 26th, of this last summer, 3 crews (approximately 9 people) from Ward Electric Company worked for about 6 weeks to build the transmission line.
Fortunately, the weather during that time of the summer was mostly clear with steady winds. Only a few rainy, windy days caused muddy working conditions.
Ward Electric Company’s experienced crew used 40-ton cranes, transmission buckets, Diggers, telehandlers, and pressure diggers to complete the job.
And in early September, a final inspection capped off the successful transmission line installation.
