Ward Electric Company, Inc. has once again expanded its footprint, opening its second office in the state of Iowa. This expansion comes with the addition of a power infrastructure facility in Conroy, Iowa.
Conroy is located in Central Iowa, just off Interstate 80. It is conveniently located a short driving distance from four of the top five largest cities in Iowa; Iowa City (30 miles), Cedar Rapids (43 miles), Davenport (84 miles) and Des Moines (92 miles). The company already has a commercial/residential office in Sioux City, which also ranks in the top five in terms of largest cities within the state.
“The location of this office is perfect for several reasons,” said Ward Electric CEO Mark Ward. “It allows us access to many of the largest metropolitan areas in the state, while also being geographically centralized which allows for the quick mobilization.”
The Conroy facility features two 60×80 buildings which sit on five acres. One of the buildings is primarily an office and storage structure, while the other is an indoor shop. Surrounding the buildings is ample yard/staging space.
The company’s other office is its headquarters in Longmont, Colorado. Paul Sauter, senior estimator/project manager, will oversee operations in Conroy along with Superintendent Brad Snyder.
